I was chatting to one of my wedding photographer friends in early 2021 and when he shared he was photographing a wedding at the beautiful Òran Mór in the spring, I asked if I could tag along. He checked with the couple and they were happy with the chance of getting more photos, so I attended as a 2nd photographer.
My Relocation
After the best part of 20 years living in Manchester, I was really excited to move back home to Glasgow in 2019. Òran Mór is only a few minutes’ walk from my home, so it’s really handy as well as being a stunning wedding venue.
Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony was in the main hall area at Òran Mór. I got some photos from the back of the hall, as well as from the balcony area. I got a couple of wide-angle photos before the couple and their guests arrived. The aisle was lined with petals and candles for a lovely atmospheric vibe.
After the ceremony, everyone headed over to the Botanic Gardens where the main photographer photographed the group photos.
After this, the couple headed into Kibble Palace for a few more photos.
We headed to the front of Kibble Palace for a few group photos, before heading inside for couple portraits.
Couple Portraits in the Botanic Gardens
It was awesome to have the opportunity to photograph a wedding in this space. The Botanic Gardens is a lovely location for couple portraits. It offer a cosy atmosphere out of the cold and spring showers as well.
