The bride and groom had planned their wedding day at Cottiers Theatre, a quirky wedding venue in the west end with informal, relaxed vibes and a beautiful ceremony space.
I was providing 6 hours of wedding photography coverage on this day, so started just before the wedding ceremony and stayed until just after the dancing.
Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony space in Cottiers has a real intimate feal due to the atmospheric lighting, but the space can hold up to 130 day guests.
At this venue, there’s plenty of space to move around so I’m able to get photos of the bride and bridesmaids walking down the aisle and then move to the back so the photos show the couple framed with architectural details.
Drinks Reception
After the wedding ceremony, the happy couple andf their guests headed upstairs for drinks. The private bar area is for wedding guests only, so it’s a lovely private space for guests to chat.
There’s also the courtyard area outside where guests can enjoy drinks in the sunshine. This time on the wedding day is great for getting loads of natural photos of the couple and their guests.

Evening Reception
After the cake cutting, it was straight into a ceilidh! Cottiers is a great location for a ceilidh. Great lighting, great accoustics, and plenty of room for both a band and dancing.
