Book an Appointment

If you're appointment is for a complimentary consultation, please check I'm available on your wedding date first by getting in touch using the contact form above.

Complimentary consultations are an opportunity to meet up, chat wedding and work out if my services, approach and style would be a good fit for you. Please note, booking a complimentary consultation does not reserve your date, and there's no obligation for you to book.

If you've already decided you'd like to book me, please do let me know ASAP so that we can get the booking fee and contracts in place to secure my availability for your wedding date.

FAQs

Do you travel?

Whilst I predominantly cover Glasgow and central Scotland, I'm happy to travel further, but do not shoot destination weddings outside of the UK.

How do we book you for our wedding?

First, check if I’m available! I'm more than happy to meet couples for a consultation so I can find out more about your plans for your day, and I can show you some of my gorgeous wedding albums. To book me, it's just a case of checking over your contract; pay the booking fee & it’s all done. Date secured. (Please note, I don't hold dates without a deposit). The remaining balance is due one month before the wedding. The booking fee amount varies depending which package you choose.

How do we pay?

Payment can be made electronically, so bank transfers or credit/debit cards though PayPal. Please note, I don't accept cash or cheque payments.

How many photos do we get?

There's no limit, but as a rough guide approx 500 photos for a full day coverage wedding (depending on guest numbers, the duration of coverage & structure of your day)

Approx 30 for an engagement shoot. (These are supplied electronically, you can download these directly from the www.viewourpictures.com website.

When do we get our photos?

You're wedding pictures will be online within 6 weeks of your wedding, with the USB drive delivered alongside your soft cover photo book. Time for this can vary depending on when you choose your cover photos & whether it's peak season.

What's the timescale for albums?

Timescale for both design and production varies depending on the time of year. Orders taken during my busy Summer months will take longer than orders over the Winter months. When I put a design together, this will be uploaded so it can be either approved, or alterations requested. The duration of this process varies depending on number of changes etc.

Are you insured?

Yep, my gear is fully insured and in addition I also have £5m public liability and indemnity insurance. If you need proof of insurance let me know.

What's digital editing?

Each of your photos is individually digitally edited and enhanced in my style. Digital editing includes cropping, straightening, colour correction, adjusting tone and contrast, adding vignettes where applicable and on key photos like portraits it also includes retouching work in the form of skin smoothing and removal of temporary skin imperfections.

If you'd like additional retouching services to remove tattoos, blemishes or objects from a photo, this is available for an additional charge. As all my couples are supplied with the high resolution JPEGs, you're more than welcome to shop around for any additional retouching that you require. If you'd like me to arrange this for you, please advise me of photo numbers so that I can provide you with a quote.

I sub contract the more specialist retouching work, so the timescale for this is usually around 2-3 weeks.

What do you do about food on the wedding day?

Don't worry about providing a meal for me. :-) I use the time during the wedding breakfast to back up the pictures, so will eat during that time. If it's a venue where I can access my car at that time, I bring a packed lunch. If not, I'll make alternative arrangements directly with the venue.

Who's Julia?

Julia's my surname... (it does occasionally confuse people), so whilst I do sometimes work with an assistant or other wedding photographers, there's just the one of me! :-)
