The great thing with getting married at Kibble Palace in Glasgow Botanic Gardens is that couples and guests are protected from the typical Scottish weather, but on this hot and sunny spring day in May, the couple were blessed with clear blue skies and the glasshouse was so warm! The couple had provided water for guests to stay hydrated during the ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony in the Glasshouse

The couple had a personalised humanist ceremony that took place in one of the rooms in the Victorian glasshouse.

Group Photos in the Botanics

Whilst the Botanic Gardens was really busy on this day, park visitors are pretty good with taking an alternative route during photos, or leaving space, which is really considerate.

When it comes to organising group photos, I always prioritise kids or anyone elderly first. So the next photo was a family one with the wee boy, who was very excited about going to check out the JCB in the park, which he’s passed on the way in. Once we got that photo, the guests started making their way over to Fonn Mór at Òran Mór for drinks, and I got photos of the couple with parents.

Couple Portraits

After a bit of time outside in the fresh air doing the group photos, the couple were ready to brave the heat again, and we headed into the glasshouse further up the hill for some portraits amongst the ferns.

Drinks Reception in Fonn Mór

There was time for a final couple of group photos before I left.
