bride and groom pose for a portrait at the entrance of the Bothy on Ruthven Lane

Showery Springtime Wedding at the Bothy

The wedding photography coverage at this wedding at the Bothy on Ruthven Lane was 1.5-hours in duration, with the couple recieving 270 photos in their online gallery.

I started with some candid arrival photos, and then it was straight into the wedding ceremony. T he couple were exchanging vows in the Scullery, a beautiful room in the Bothy with fireplace and rustic details.

Wedding Ceremony

The Scullery room features industrial rustic details, greenery and soft lighting. It’s a fabulous location for an intimate wedding.

Drinks Reception

The happy couple were hugged and congratulated by guests as they all enjoyed the drinks reception in the Scullery.

Couple Portraits

The bride and groom were only looking for a couple of portraits together, so we kept things simple and just used the space at the entrance to the Bothy. The photography coverage is adapted to what my couples want, so as you look through my blog, you’ll see that the mix of photos can differ quite a bit. The details of the coverage are figured out well before the wedding day in a planning meeting.

Group Photos

We had intended to shoot the group photos outside, but no sooner had everyone arrived in the Bothy garden, a shower started. We instead used the space in the Scullery next to the fireplace. Thankfully the spring shower stopped after a short time, so we were able to attempt a group photo of everyone again, and this time we were lucky!
