This was my first wedding at Dalmeny Park House Hotel, an elegant and luxurious Scottish mansion house in Barrhead. I’d visited the venue with the couple before the wedding day, so we had a plan to make use of as many of the features as possible. The couple had booked me for 4 hours of photography, so I was there for the final stages of bridal preparations, then the wedding ceremony, group photos and couple portraits, and a few candid shots of in-between moments. From the 4 hours of coverage, the couple received 480 photos.
Bridal Preparations
The honeymoon suite was basked in soft light and the perfect place to get ready.
Wedding Ceremony
The venue has a large wedding ceremony room, with neutral colours and elegant lighting. There’s full length windows on one side that provide lots of natural light, ideal for wedding ceremony photos.
Group Photos
There’s plenty of space in the gardens for a confetti photo. I like to try and get the house in the background of confetti and group photos.
The couple had opted for elegant and glam styling, with black bridesmaids dresses and a black wedding cake.
Couple Portraits
The perfectly manicured gardens provided a gorgeous backdrop for both group photos and the bride and groom portraits, but we also wanted to get a few photos ofthe stunning staircase.
The gardens at Dalmeny Park House Hotel are stunning. There’s so many cute spots for couple portraits. We started off with getting the mansion house in the background, and then moved to the garden.
