Loch Lomond Arms is such a lovely wedding venue. If you’re thinking of a Loch Lomond wedding and you’re looking for a wedding venue for a traditional wedding with relaxed vibes, this could be perfect. The location in Luss and being so close to the waterfront meant some Loch-backdrop couple photos were a must, so I was really excited to photograph this summer wedding.
The couple had booked me for 4 hours of photography, so I started just before the wedding ceremony and got a few candid photos of the groom and guests as they enjoyed drinks in the sun. Before long, it was time for the wedding ceremony.

Drinks Reception
There’s plenty of room in the gardens to get lots of candid photos during the drinks reception. I love capturing these natural, relaxed moments of the couple and their wedding guests.
Group Photos
The perfectly manicured gardens at the Loch Lomond Arms hotel are ideal for group photos. I like to start with the big group photo of everyone, followed by the wedding party, as I find that it’s faster to organise things this way, and after that’s done, we worked through various photo combinations of friends and family.
Loch Lomond Couple Portraits
After the group photos, we headed straight down to Luss waterfront. The sky signalled rain, so we were on a mission to get the planned couple portrait photos before the heavens opened.
The couple had chosen Luss Pier, but it was really busy. I quickly grabbed the frame below as a memory of a funny wedding day moment, and we then headed to the pier at the other end of Luss Beach for a quieter vibe, but still with the breathtaking mountain backdrop.
The gent on the left was completely oblivious to the wedding portrait shoot, but I love how his friends were trying to all tell him to wait.
Look at that sky! We were really lucky to miss the rain! After a few photos on the quieter pier, we headed into the wooded area near the beach for a few romantic couple portraits. I’d highly recommend this area for your Loch Lomond arms wedding photos. There are so many photo opportunities for photos and it’s less busy that the main pier.
