Bride and groom had exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony at a register office in Renfrewshire, and then were heading to The Citizen Glasgow for their wedding reception.
The Citizen Glasgow is a Scottish restaurant with rooms for private dining. Previously the home of the offices and printing rooms of the evening citizen newspaper, the interior features classic styling and ambient lighting.
Couple Portraits
I gave the couple a lift into the city centre from their ceremony venue, and then photographed candid portraits as they walked through the city centre towards The Citizen.
The couple and their friends and family were to have the wedding reception in the Macallan Editor’s Suite. With it’s own bar, luxurious seating, and large windows bathing the room in soft light, it’s a lovely location for a micro wedding.
Wedding Reception
I got a few candid photos as the happy couple enjoyed drinks with close friends and family. I was only in attendance for the wedding reception for about 30 minutes before the couple and their guests tucked into their wedding meal.
Group Photos
We’s already photographed the wedding party group photos at the ceremony location, so at The Citizen, the vibe was for a more relaxed and informal approach to groups, and I was able to get smaller combinations that we’d not got at the ceremony venue.
Wedding Speeches
The brides dad took a moment to say a few words, so I got some candid photos of that, and that wrapped up my coverage for the day.
