Mottram Hall Wedding photography: Sam and Paul’s gorgeous Spring wedding at Cheshire wedding venue Mottram Hall.
When Sam got in touch to book me for her Mottram Hall Wedding Photography, I was really excited to be returning to this gorgeous venue! I’d heard that the lights had been fixed as the previous time I’d shot there it wasn’t lit up at night so I was hoping for dry weather in the evening to get some arty dramatic evening wedding portraits.
On the morning of the wedding I met Sam in one of the rooms at Mottram Hall where she was having hair and make-up done. I shot details as usual, then headed off downstairs to meet the groom at the bar. My friend Mike from North West Photography was second shooting with me for part of the day so after saying hello to the Groom and introducing Mike, I left him to shoot the groom and the guys and documentary pictures of guests arriving whilst I headed back upstairs to capture Sam getting in to her gorgeous dress.
After the ceremony, the guests all headed outside to enjoy the glorious weather. It was so hot, it was hard to believe it was the middle of March! After getting some candid documentary style coverage of the couple mingling with guests, I organised a handful of group shots, then headed off with the couple for some wedding portraits. Sam and Paul had requested only a few group shots, but they had seen previous wedding couple portraits I’d shot and they wanted some specific ones, so off we went in the sunshine to the side of the lake, stopping off at the perfectly manicured gardens to get that gorgeous blue sky in a few shots.
