Laura and Tom are students at the University of Manchester, which gave them the unique opportunity of getting married at the Holy Name Church on Oxford Road in Manchester. Holy Name church, in the gothic revival style, has an amazing presence both inside and out. If you have not visited it, please do. Hand on heart, it’s one of the friendliest churches I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit and I can’t wait to return for my next wedding there in December.
The reception was originally supposed to be at Chancellors, but a planned road closure on the weekend of the wedding meant the couple had to find an alternative reception venue, and Christies was available so they opted for that. I’d never shot a wedding there before, so we arranged an extra meeting to chat about their Christies Bistro Wedding Photography and have a good look round. I loved the space, with a similar style of architecture to the church, and high ceilings and large windows that let in loads of natural light, I just knew it was going to be awesome.
I really LOVE how Laura and Tom have personalised this wedding so much to reflect their interests and the courses they have been studying.
