If you’re planning a winter wedding and having a late ceremony, you may be thinking a confetti shot is out of the equation… but you’d be wrong. As with anything, it just comes down to planning and lighting.
Laura & Olie were getting married in their local church at 4pm. Confetti was not allowed inside the church grounds, but on the other side of the lych gate was a narrow pavement & a busy road, so far from the ideal place for guests to gather. So, we planned to do it at the reception venue instead, the gorgeous Didsbury House Hotel. Check out the results below!
Laura & Olie had their cute dog Zak at the wedding, he looked dapper in his tuxedo outfit and was loving greeting everyone at the church.

The Bridal preparation photos were taken at Eleven Didsbury Park where Laura & bridesmaids & her mum were all getting ready.
Then on to St Mary’s Church in Cheadle for a beautiful ceremony followed by tea & cake!
Sunset was at 4pm, but there was a short time after the ceremony where we had beautiful dusk light, so I made the most of those precious few minutes and got some portraits of the bride and groom outside the church entrance. These portraits were shot at 5pm.
It was far to cold outside for everyone, so the vote went for a photo inside the cosy church rather than outside. After this, everyone headed to Didsbury House Hotel for the wedding reception and partying!
