Claire & Pauls stunning autumn wedding and one of Cheshire’s most glamorous wedding venues. I’ve wanted to shoot a wedding at Arley Hall since I first seen a portrait showing the gardens on an industry friends website. Further investigation revealed a Jacobean 15th century Hall steeped in history and now the home of Lord and Lady Ashbrook. The gardens are regarded as among the finest in the country and I highly recommend a leisurely weekend visit to discover these gardens for yourself.
Claire got in touch through a recommendation from one of her friends whose wedding I had shot the previous year, and when she mentioned Arley Hall I done a happy dance round my office!
The weather in October can be quite wet, but the couple were blessed with a dry day for their Arley Hall autumn wedding, featuring beautiful light, and it wasn’t even that cold! After a beautiful ceremony, we managed to squeeze in documentary coverage, group photos, and a whirlwind tour of the amazing gardens, but I would have loved to have had more time in the gardens. Ten minutes just did not feel like long enough! For the couples end of night portrait for their Arley Hall autumn wedding, we finished with a portrait in the barn. Claire had seen a similar photo on the Arley Hall website and wanted something similar, so they both loved this!
